Trannyshack presents the ninth annual installment of its biggest and most glamorous event of the calendar year, the Miss Trannyshack Pageant! Goddess forbid you've missed their eight previous booze-infused, sold-out competitions! after too many Cosmos!-of this year's competition. The beauty and thrill
will blind you to the brutal reality as the ultimate winner bribes and elbows
her way to the Miss Trannyshack crown and sash.The Pageant will be hostessed by Trannyshack's producer and weekly mistress of ceremonies Heklina, who has been running this show since its inception. She will be joined by co-host and drag phenomenon Juanita More! and Trannyshack legend Pippi Lovestocking. An illustrious and impressive panel of celebrity judges, including porn directress Chi Chi Larue, Miss Trannyshack 2002 Suppositori Spelling, Dave Peterson of Fag Fridays, Ana Matronic of Scissor Sisters fame and Windy Plains will score the contestants in the categories of swim wear and, most importantly, talent. At this point, there is already an impressive roster of pageant competitors, including Syphilis Diller, Peggy L'eggs, Jay Walker, Ana Conda, Cookie Dough, Diva Dan, Veda de Voe, Falsetta Knockers and Kiddie. Who knows which as-yet-unknown future drag legends will show up to vie for the much-coveted title? And don't you think for one minute that winning this crown is easy! There's much more to the competition than merely tottering on stilettos while artfully concealing one's genitalia! The very first pageant winner, Timmy Spence, gave himself an enema and then watered flowers with his ass, so these queens don't fuck around.
This year's event will take place on a Saturday night at a brand new venue for the event, the glamorous Regency Center. Resident Trannyshack DJ Derek and guest DJ Jim Hopkins will be spinning tunes for your dancing pleasure before and after the pageant. And your familiar door diva Miss Chocolate will be on hand to relieve you of your money. Trannyshack, now in its ninth award-winning year, is San Francisco's longest-running weekly drag and performance nightclub. Its glittering female impersonating showcase has become internationally legendary, serving as an important venue for up and coming local gender-bending talent, as well as a home away from home for visiting out-of-town drag luminaries.
